This engaging and interactive workshop will begin with a practical mini-ICF training that includes interactive exercises to introduce the biopsychosocial framework of the ICF and the basic structure and codes of the classification. The workshop will continue with an introduction of ISPRM’s ICF-based clinical tool, using a case to exemplify the use of the “standard” version of ClinFIT in practice, whereby also highlighting some considerations regarding the different rating options. With basic knowledge of what ClinFIT is, the workshop will present the results of methodological work aimed to develop patient grading and subscales and to establish minimal clinically important difference for ClinFIT, as well as the exploration of the potential use of functioning trajectories for clinical decision-making. Illustrative case examples to engage the workshop participants will be given. In addition to this methodological work, the ClinFIT Committee has advanced its work on a version of ClinFIT for assessing and reporting functioning of persons with a musculoskeletal condition called “ClinFIT-MSK”. The workshop will present the current status of this initiative. The workshop will also provide a platform for participants to provide input and ideas for advancing current ClinFIT Committee initiatives in a “soundboard” session. This will be followed by a session on insights from the last 7 years of ClinFIT work and a vision for the ClinFIT Committee’s contribution to fulfilling ISPRM’s four-pillar strategic plan. Although there will be an opportunity to ask questions after each of the aforementioned sessions, there will also be a final opportunity to ask questions or make comments in a Question & Answer session before the workshop concludes.
