Cancer and its treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy, have a significant impact on patients quality of life, affecting their physical, psychological, and functional capacities. In this context, oncological rehabilitation plays a crucial role at all stages of the disease, aiming to minimize the adverse effects of treatment and improve patient recovery. Oncological rehabilitation can begin at different stages of the therapeutic process: before treatment (prehabilitation), during treatment, and after treatment completion. Prehabilitation focuses on optimizing the patient’s physical and psychological condition before receiving oncological therapy, strengthening the body to better tolerate side effects. In contrast, rehabilitation during treatment aims to mitigate side effects in real-time, preventing complications that could compromise treatment continuity or the patient’s quality of life.
