The role of PRM physicians outside hospital settings is expanding, yet practices vary widely across regions. Outpatient and community-based rehabilitation offer opportunities for continuity of care, holistic patient management, and innovation. Still, they face major challenges, including limited resources, professional isolation, financial sustainability, and lack of awareness of PRM’s value. This joint AIM–ISPRM and ESPRM session will map current practices, share international experiences, and discuss how societies can support PRM physicians through networking, technology, and strategic collaboration.
