This session explores cutting-edge perspectives in rehabilitation by linking fascia, muscle, and gait as central pillars of functional recovery. Fascia, once underestimated, is now recognized as a dynamic connective tissue network essential for force transmission, proprioception, and pain modulation, with implications ranging from anatomical insights to advanced imaging and clinical applications. Spasticity, a frequent consequence of brain and spinal cord injuries, highlights the complexity of motor control disorders and the need for tailored interventions such as Botulinum Toxin treatment, physical therapy, and goal-oriented rehabilitation strategies. Instrumental gait analysis provides an objective framework to assess movement, detect abnormalities, and guide treatment planning with precision. In parallel, sarcopenia represents a growing challenge, reinforcing the importance of early detection and innovative diagnostic tools, including machine learning algorithms, to better stratify risk and optimize care. Together, these approaches illustrate how integrated knowledge—from fascia to gait and muscle health—can shape the future of personalized rehabilitation.
