This interactive workshop aims to explore the cultural perceptions and stigma surrounding the diagnosis of cerebral palsy (CP) in children, focusing on how families from diverse backgrounds respond to and cope with this diagnosis.

The session will provide healthcare professionals with insights into cultural sensitivity and effective communication strategies when delivering a CP diagnosis. Through interactive discussions and case studies, participants will learn how to navigate cultural barriers, reduce stigma, foster empathy when working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds and promote acceptance, ultimately enhancing rehabilitation outcomes.

Given the congress theme, *Global Solutions in Rehabilitation: (Re)visiting Africa Before 2030*, this workshop is particularly relevant as it addresses cultural factors influencing healthcare delivery in various regions, including Africa. It supports the goal of improving global rehabilitation strategies by fostering culturally competent care.
