Survival rates for individuals with cancer continue to rise, due to improved screening methods, earlier detection, and reduced toxicities from treatment. With improved survival, however, cancer survivors still experience a significant amount of disability worldwide. In 2022, it was estimated that nearly 20 million people were diagnosed with cancer throughout the world. 59% of these cases were in Asia, with a significant proportion in Europe, Africa, and North and South America. With longer life expectancy, individuals have been found to experience significant and unexpected physical, cognitive, and psychological deficits as a result of the cancer itself or treatment effects. This workshop aims to examine impairments associated with oncological diagnoses amenable to rehabilitation interventions.
