Non traumatic diseases and conditions affecting the spinal cord are caused by a wide range of conditions: arthritis, inflammation, infections, tumors, nutritional disorders, toxins, ischemia and vascular lesions. The conditions affecting children differ from those typically seen in adults, and the neurologic and survival prognosis varies dramatically. Our 60-minute course will review the causes, key diagnostic considerations, prognosis and rehabilitation highlights. Time for discussion and questions will conclude the session.
